How geeky are you? This infographic will tell you

While not every member of the htxt.africa team would agree that these are 50 things that a geek should know (probably because their geeky aspirations were brought crashing to earth when they didn’t know the answers), this infographic from visual.ly does cover a broad range of geeky general knowledge. Some of the answers are given away in the visual layout (for example, the AT-AT/AT-ST question is spoiled with the picture of each), but the other points are food for thought.

For instance, how many people consider themselves computer geeks but don’t know how to set up a Linux machine? Or those who are Dr. Who fans, but don’t know all eleven actors who’ve portrayed  the good doctor.

And then some easy bits make the cut, such as knowing how to use a proxy server for online anonymity or knowing the Vulcan hand sign for “live long and prosper”. There are also some omissions, such as knowing what the Konami code is, who the father of modern FPS is, or how many gigawatts of power Doc Brown’s DeLorean needed.

Omissions and technicalities aside, count the ones you know and let us know how much of a geek you are, and which points you think are unfair.
