Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is out today. Here’s BJ beating things with a pipe

Remember I told you about a standalone prequel to the Wolfenstein reboot back in March called The Old Blood?

Well it’s out today for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, bringing with it more over-the-top action but with new levels, weapons, moves and retro-future Nazis to kill set back in this alternate-history 1946, before BJ was bludgeoned into a coma.

It’s cheap, too – you can grab it from Green Man Gaming for $15.39 (around R185 once you’ve used the 23% discount on the $19.99 list price) for PC, or R290 for Xbox One from Animeworx and R270 for the PlayStation 4 version from Takealot.

To whet your appetite for yet more Nazi-slaughter, here’s a video of protagonist BJ Blazkowicz hitting Nazis with his brand-new pipe weapon, taking out prototype supersoldiers with his wits and showing off some of the game’s gorgeous-looking levels, including a good look at the outside of Castle Wolfenstein itself.

Just a heads-up, however, some of the visuals are a little, er, graphic.
