If Donald Trump was written as a character in a novel, his haircut, politics and general pronouncements would probably prompt readers to dismiss him as completely unbelievable. That is, unless he was a character in a fantasy novel.

So what better place for the larger than life politician than Game of Thrones? While the show seems like it’s focused on sex, violence and dragons, Game of Thrones is really about the politics, baby.

That’s the secret to the show; those other aspects are just set dressings for the high-stakes courtly cloak and dagger that inevitably ends with disaster – usualLy for the characters viewers have taken the most liking to.

While the US elections may not take that to the “you win or you die” level, it does seem like a good point for the two worlds to meet. That’s why YouTube content creator Huw Parkinson has taken the time to painstakingly stitch Donald Trump into the world of  Westeros.

Saying nothing of the humour here, we must commend this video on a technical level. We don’t want too kknow how many hours were spent starring into the face of Donald Trump as the editor cut up his likeness to paste onto the top of Game of Thrones characters. Throw in the brilliant motion tracking and the spot-on dialogue, and this video is phenomenal.

It’s no wonder that the video already has almost one and a half million views in less than three days of it being posted.
