Listen: Vavi and other #SABC protest delegation leaders to meet Hlaudi again on Monday

Former COSATU Secretary General, Zwelinzima Vavi, along with employees from various media and lobby groups, had an hour-long discussion with SABC COO Hlaudi Mostoeneng.

The talks were aiming at mapping out a solution for suspended journalists at the public broadcaster.

Vavi led a delegation group inside the SABC offices shortly after the #BlackFriday protest made its way to Constitution Hill from Auckland Park.

Prior to attending the meeting with Mostoeneng, the delegation group had been held up for almost an hour while SABC security kept the doors locked, claiming that keys to it had been lost.

The delegation then went in and spent an hour in talk with Motsoeneng to discuss the SABC editorial policy and the lifting of the ban on violent protest footage, the suspended journalists and to address participants of a separate strike that was being held at the offices.

Listen to the results of the meeting, below. (Sekoetlane Phamodi, from media lobby group, SOS Coalition, speaks after Vavi. He was also part of the delegation inside the meeting).
