Tenacious D’s Post-Apocalypto animation and album is out now

Back in September Tenacious D released the first video of their “animated” series Post-Apocalypto which, apart from being a bit of fun, acted as promotion for their upcoming album with the same name.

Now both of them are out and you can enjoy them for free, if you have the data to do so and a Spotify account, that is.

The series of videos is embedded below and stretches over six episodes that are under 15 minutes each.

Before you press play please note that it’s extremely not safe for work. Even if your place of business is okay with the swearing that usually companies Tenacious D music, they may not be comfortable with poorly-drawn nudity, especially in episode two.

Also note that it’s not the most interesting thing to look at, taking the form of drawings by Jack Black and Kyle Gass that are presented as something of a slideshow with the pair voice acting (and singing) over the events.

Before you leave YouTube, do subscribe to the channel as the band is trying to get themselves a subscriber plaque.

All the songs featured in the series are, of course, in the album, which you can listen to and / or buy just about everywhere.

Our preferred place to listen to it is on Spotify, with our favourite song being the short “WOMAN TIME” (yes it’s in all caps).
