New trailer for Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 goes over the campaign

The next Warhammer 40K game to launch is Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 which will be available come 24th January.

To hype the game up a bit and give players more information about the singleplayer, publisher Focus Home Interactive has released a trailer for the campaign which you can watch below.

Those who pick the game up can expect three campaigns controlling five factions including the Imperium of Man, Necrons and Tyranids.

The game’s world is divided into sectors which each have their own solar systems. The player will being the game with a small fleet and one system, and will be tasked with expanding from there.

New stories in the 40K universe are promised with the Tyranids given special treatment here. As they’re not the best speakers, combatants who come into contact with them will relay the story of Hive Fleet Leviathan instead.

Co-op is also available here where each player will control half of the fleet.

If all of that has you excited the game is currently discounted on Steam by 10%. Those who pre-order now also get access to the second beta taking place from 15th January. We do, however, always advocate against pre-ordering.

When we played the first game we found it very difficult to get into and abandoned the game before we could get used to it. While that may be more a reflection of ourselves rather than the game, we just bring it up to highlight the point that this probably won’t be the easiest title to get into if you’re coming in blind looking for another 40K experience.
