Yes, Oreo is selling Game of Thrones themed cookies for final season

Is there any other cookie out there better than the Oreo?

I’d argue not, which is why I’m particularly intrigued to see that the company behind them, Nabisco, has partnered with HBO to create a limited edition batch of Game of Thrones cookies to coincide with the TV series’ final season, which kicks off on 15th April.

Oreo had teased the collaboration a few days ago, but now we’ve been greeted by a new video to mark the announcement, as well as a few more details about the cookies in question.

Said video pays homage to the iconic opening title sequence that Game of Thrones is known for, which you can enjoy for yourself after the break.

As for the most important element, the limited edition cookies, Oreo has four different versions up for twisting, licking and dunking. Three of the four are for specific houses in Game of Thrones, namely House Stark, House Targaryen and House Lannister, with each featuring the House crest where the usual Oreo pattern is.

The fourth cookie features the Night King, who we’re secretly hoping takes the throne when season eight is done and dusted.

The limited edition cookies are set to go on sale Stateside on 8th April, and are available while stocks last.

Sadly no word yet if South Africa will be getting the limited edition offering. Hopefully it does though, as SA loves Game of Thrones, and this journalist loves Oreos.

Was this a tech-focused story? Not at all, but it was tasty.

We’ve also added the latest teaser video for GoT season eight below, if you haven’t watched it yet.
