How to watch the SATNAC 2019 live stream

If you follow the local telecommunications scene, you’ll likely be aware that SATNAC 2019 kicks off today. For those unable to attend the week-long event, it is being live streamed for the public to find out what’s happening in terms of 5G, IoT and the strides being made to make those technologies a reality.

The live stream is currently underway, with it being facilitated by SATNAC’s key organiser Telkom, along with Business Day TV.

Access to the live stream is fairly straightforward, with a login screen requiring a name, email address and company name. As such you may be getting some messages to your inbox from Business Day and Telkom in future.

“Business Day TV will be rolling out uninterrupted coverage and exclusive content,” notes Openserve’s CEO and conference chairman, Alphonzo Samuels.

“We want to ensure that everyone has access to the conference. We have partnered again with Business Day TV to provide exclusive content of the conference and the speakers. Viewers can expect live interviews with the speakers, stakeholders and some of the students who will be presenting their ICT related research papers during the conference,” he adds.

With this year’s theme being “the changing face of telcos in a digital world”, Telkom has rounded up a number of interesting speakers for the 22nd annual SATNAC conference.

Some of the most notable names include:

  • Liu Zhaopi, director of Africa Market, Alibaba
  • Philip Stander, MD, Globetom;
  • Prof Thomas Magadanz, Fraunhofer Institute FOKUS
  • Paul Scanlan, CTO, Huawei Carrier Network Business Group
  • Sipho Maseko, Group CEO, Telkom
  • Serame Taukobong, CEO, Telkom Consumer.
