Ganki is one of the first 3D printed Temtem in the wild

You can find just about every single Pokémon represented as a 3D print on sites like Thingiverse and MyMiniFactory, and we’re starting to see the same become true for the game inspired by it – Temtem. The first of the creatures from the new game to come across our desk is Ganki, which has been recreated as a miniature with a base to keep the floating Temtem up.

This project is the work of Thingiverse user Lemu LeLemurien who thought that Ganki would make an excellent mascot for Temtem in place of Pigepic, and started on the journey of turning it into a figurine after encountering it in the tall grass.

This process started by extracting its model from the game, something we’ve seen in various prints from the past and always a good start to making a replica. While they always need substantial work to be made printable, it helped to work off of something official.

That work was done in Cinema 4D where several different versions where made, always being mindful of eventually printing the Ganki and then painting it.

When the model was ready it could be printed, which ate up around 15 hours before being complete.

Painting was the most challenging aspect here, as Lemu LeLemurien tells us. After struggling to match the colours, a piece of software was used to extract the colour code from the game. This was used as a guide and the results are fantastic, especially as it was this maker’s first attempt at painting a model.

The finished Ganki you see on this page is deceptively large at 12.5 centimetres tall and seven centimetres wide. Aside from the gallery below you can also see the print from all angles in this short video.

Those wanting to make their own can find the files available for free over on Thingiverse.

Hopefully we’ll be seeing more printed Temtem in the future, especially as the game is updated and eventually leaves Early Access.
