Game Pass Ultimate gets even better with ‘Perks’

Xbox Game Pass has been extremely popular in recent months thanks to its availability on PC and several promotions which have offered it up for very little money. Hoping to capitalise on that Microsoft has been continually improving the service with new features, the latest of which are called “Perks”.

Right now Perks are exclusive to Ultimate, the premium version of the service that includes Game Pass access on both Xbox One and PC.

“What it means is, you’re getting more stuff. We’re adding regular bonus content in the form of DLC, in-game content, and more (even for games not in our library!) at no extra charge,” Writes the official Game Pass account.

That announcement comes with the image seen above which promises this content for Smite, Sea of Thieves, Phantasy Star Online 2 and World of Tanks.

As for when new Perks will be made available, much like the games which comprise the service, these will be added on a monthly basis.

If Microsoft is reading this we hope it will add the expansions to Forza Horizon 4. The base game is free on Game Pass but the Fortune Island and LEGO Speed Champions expansions need to be bought separately with both of them being rather pricey. Large additions like this would make non-Ultimate members like us consider upgrading.

Those looking for more information about Perks should check out the new dedicated page for this aspect of the service.

Finally, it’s important to talk about availability here. Perks will, thankfully, be available in every country that is already supported by Game Pass. This is worth mentioning as there are some aspects of the service which do not share this wide reach. Game Pass Quests, a system that allows players to earn rewards points, is only accessible in certain countries.
