Following two postponements one day after another, South Africans will find out what regulations they will have to adhere to during level three of lockdown.
Late on Wednesday evening, Minister in the Presidency, Jackson Mthembu, announced that Minister of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, would brief media regarding new regulations.
The reason for the delay in the briefing, according to Mthembu, was due to President Cyril Ramaphosa’s announcement that churches will be allowed to operate during lockdown level three provided strict hygiene protocols are observed. This forced the National Coronavirus Command Council to adapt its regulations.

While the president announced on Sunday 24th May that the sale of alcohol will be permitted, nothing is set in stone until the regulations are announced.
The National Coronavirus Command Council will brief the media at 14:00 today.
As of time of writing there are no livestreams available online as of yet but we recommend checking the SABC, eNCA and Parliamentary YouTube channels for streams as they appear.
We will of course update this story when we find a stream from a reputable source.
