Check out this SA startup competition to pitch angel investors in Israel

If you’re a founder or senior manager of an early stage technology startup businesses in the web or mobile sectors, then here’s a competition you might be interested in.

The Start Tel Aviv South Africa contest has just opened up for entries, and the grand prize is a five-day trip to Tel Aviv for DLD Festival week from September 6th to 12th. DLD is one of the country’s premier innovation events, so the winner of the competition will get opportunities to interact with other techies living in Israel and other parts of the world and – more importantly – pitch to angel investors.

This years winner will be picked by a judging panel that includes a magazine editor, Israel’s ambassador to South Africa, its trade representative to South Africa and Microsoft SA’s Marketing and Operations Director.

Contestants and the ultimate winner retain rights to their business plans and all intellectual property.

Complete an online application form and email a 30-second video where you explain why you deserve to win the prize to pr@pretoria.mfa.gov.il and you could be jetting off to the Middle East. The competition closes on 12 June 2015.
