South Africa will run through a variety of loadshedding stages on Thursday.
Less than 24 hours after the Springboks won the Rugby World Cup, loadshedding returns as Eskom implements Stage 2 and Stage 3.
Eskom to implement mix of Stage 3 and Stage 4 loadshedding until further notice, as temperatures in Johannesburg get colder.
Stage 2 loadshedding is in effect until 16:00 thereafter, Stage 3 will come into effect.
How long this will last amid wage increase discussions that aren’t going well, remains to be seen.
Loadshedding will flit between Stages 3 and 4 for most of the weekend according to an update from Eskom.
With loadshedding suspended during the national shutdown and Human Right’s Day, it returns alternating between Stage 2 and Stage 3.
Stage 5 loadshedding makes an unwelcome return at 16:00 on Monday,
Stage 3 and Stage 4 loadshedding will be in place for the whole week.
Loadshedding will remain at Stage 4 until Thursday morning, with Eskom moving to Stage 3 if generating units return before them.
Rather than getting better, things have remained at the same level of terrible and loadshedding persists throughout this week.
