How fast can you run Haswell?

Old chums of htxt at Benchtec and Overclock.net have been given early access to Intel’s latest Core processors based on the brand-new Haswell micro-architecture. And they’re treating it with the care and attention that it’s due, by trying to overclock the hell out of it this afternoon. Check out the embedded stream for a live view, which will be available as a recording when they’re done.

And yes, they’re using LN2 as well as dry ice and acetone. Huzzah for science.

They’ve got twelve motherboards and chips up and running. I reckon 5GHz is a shoe-in, 7GHz probably likely. Place your bets now.
