LAPD face off with video game character

The LAPD became the laughing stock of the internet, last week, when its officers had a 15-minutes face-off with a videogame character.

According to Geekscape, an employee at game developer Robotoki accidentally activated the company’s emergency alarm signalling an armed threat in the building. As so happens to be the case at a videogame developer’s office, there was a life-sized statue of Call of Duty character, Simon “Ghost” Riley – replete with assault rifle and tactical gear.

Upon arriving at the premises the LAPD officers spotted the tango, drew weapons, and demanded the alleged assailant set down his gear.

Thankfully no employees of Robotoki, or dummies, were hurt, and the cops left with a smile after realising what happened.
