Ken Levine and the people over at Irrational Games have unleashed a bombshell on gamers fond of Levine’s now-legendary Bioshock universe: the most recent game, Bioshock: Infinite, will soon be getting a two-part addon called Burial at Sea that takes players back to Rapture at the height of its glory!
But that’s not all: in the second episode, gamers will also be able to play as Elizabeth, the unplayable protagonist from B:I. Win!
All of this juicy newsy goodness came on the back of the announcement 2K’s local disti, Megarom, sent out today detailing the immediately-available new DLC content for Bioshock: Infinite called Clash in the Clouds, which quite honestly doesn’t sound anywhere near as amazing as Burial at Sea.
Clash in the Clouds is apparently some sort of combat-heavy, arena-style fight-against-waves-of-enemies type deal (whoopty do), whereas Burial at Sea is a two-part, hardboiled adventure starring both Elizabeth and Booker (yay!). If you loved Infinite as much as I did, I know which one you’re more excited about…
Clash of the Clouds is available today on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 for a price of $4.99/400 Xbux, and Burial at Sea’s availability will be announced at a later date, but Megarom did confirm each part of the story will cost $15. That is, if you don’t own Bioshock: Infinite’s $19.99 season pass that grants you access to all of the game’s DLC for one low price.
