Red Bull Mobile offers new SIMs, no wings

Red Bull Mobile has launched a new prepaid tariff today, targeting 19-33-year-old South Africans with a new deal based on the Supacharge package from its partner Cell C beefed up with a load of extras to tempt party mad young things to their brand.

The imaginatively titled Red Bull Mobile Prepaid product comes with 200MB of data per month for the first twelve months and the same 99 cent flat rates for other services and extra bundles that Cell C offers. SIMs are quite pricey, however, costing R99 for the next 60 days rising to R149 after the launch promotion wears off.

For that money, however, you do get more than the monthly data included. There’s a Red Bull portal with unlimited access to streaming music, videos and game and ringtone downloads all included in the one off subscription, and you’ll also get access to exclusive Red Bull events like parties, music nights and sports. In addition, two couples a month will win a ‘Red Bull Experience’, starting off with tickets and travel to the F1 Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi in October.
