Sometimes you just get tired of the boring things your friends are posting on Facebook. So the team at Facebook has started to roll out a new feature to select users that will allow them to see the boring things their friends were posting a year ago today. The feature is called “On This Day” and it will include a news feed of the posts your friends put on the social network a year ago while showing important milestones that occurred in the world on the right hand bar of the page.
Facebook has been fighting its way back to the $38 listing share price that it had when at its IPO and most of that has been done by successfully monetising its mobile users more effectively through advertising sales. Facebook hasn’t mentioned whether last year’s advertising will find its way into the news feed of the ‘On This Day’ feature as of yet, but we’re holding thumbs for this:
