Google’s been ramping up Street View over the last few months, adding new places for people to explore from the comfort of their computers. The latest addition is a real gem, and something animals lovers will appreciate. Members of the Street View team have taken their camera-rigged backpacks to explore some of the world’s most famous zoos.
In an entry on Google’s LatLong blog the company highlights the zoos Street View users will now be able to visit. They include:
- San Diego Zoo
- Houston
- Atlanta
- Chicago
- Chapultepec Zoo, in Mexico
- Toronto Zoo, in Canada
- Jungle Cat World Wildlift Park in Ontario, Canada
- Buin Zoo, in Chile
- Zoologico de Bauru, in Brazil
- Shou Shan Zoo, in Taiwan
- Asahimaya Zoo, in Japan
- Singapore Zoo
- Taronga Zoo, in Australia
- Zoo Safari Park Stukenbrock, in Germany
- Tierpark Hagenbeck, in Germany
- Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, in China
This extensive list of animal parks joins the five that were already available on Street View, including:
- Zoo Aquarium de Madrid, in Spain
- Parc Zoologic de Barcelona, in Spain
- La Ferme aux Crocodiles, in France
- Olmense Zoo, in Belgium
- Whipsnade Zoo, in Britain
