Sucker for punishment? Then get in line, because this September you’ll be able to get your hands on the most arduous gaming adventure of all: an Elder Scrolls box set.

Bethesda Softworks has been hard at work modernising its anthology to run on modern computers. Players will start with the game that kicked off the series, The Elder Scrolls: Arena, and work their way through hundreds of hours of role-playing with the other four games in the series: Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, and then the most recent, Skyrim.

If the actual games aren’t enough of a challenge, all their respective add-on packs are also included. At least things get easier with the five printed maps included in the bundle. Because getting lost in those vast worlds is the last thing you want to do when you’re trying to finish the games in record time.

Eleven years ago Christo started writing about technology for one of South Africa's (then) leading computer magazines. His first review? A Samsung LCD monitor. Hey, it was hot news, back then. Nowadays he gets more excited about photography, cars, game consoles, and faster internet connections. He's sort of an Apple fan, but will take any opportunity to remind you about his Windows-powered home theatre PC and desire to own a vanilla Android tablet.   Currently uses: Apple 13-inch Macbook Pro with Retina Display, Apple iPhone 5, Microsoft Laser Mouse 6000, Audiofly AF78 Earphones, Xbox 360, Nikon D50.
