Intel’s tiny NUC PC updated with Haswell

At around the size of a takeaway hamburger box Intel’s NUC (Next Unit of Computing) is a fantastic view into the future of PCs. Our esteemed Mr Brett Haggard loves his current generation NUC and now he (and the rest of us for that matter) can all pine over the next generation of Intel’s tiny little box of magic.

The D54250WYK (very interesting name there Intel) uses Intel’s HD 5000 graphics along with a Display Port 1.2 for 4k capability to go along with 4 X USB 3.0 ports and an IR port. NUCs have traditionally made for great HTPCs (Home Theater PC) and with the addition of Haswell’s graphics prowess it could be that the NUC has become a force to be reckoned with.
