With the last few Apple unveilings the company’s official event invitations have all hinted at what it’s about to reveal. That’s not the case for the next one, to be held on the 22nd of October – just next week.

Instead, Apple’s colourful invitation simply says, “We still have a lot to cover”. Quite cryptic, unless it’s planning to unveil the next generation of smartphone and tablet covers.

Nonetheless, we can take a guess. The internet rumour mills have been in action for the past few weeks, and all smart money at the moment is on the Cupertino iPhone maker unveiling new iPads, refreshed Macs, and a release version of OS X Mavericks.
