Coursera’s selection of free online courses gets supercharged with addition of 13 new institutions

There are other places to get a free education online, but Coursera is the place to get your learn on. It’s the preferred destination for more than 5-million students, who’ve submitted a total of 9.96-million assignments and completed 27.3-million online quizzes.

The online education outlet recently announced that it’s now secured partnerships with even more international learning institutions, bringing the total number of partners to 107, and the number of free online courses to 532. Some of the new universities and schools include:

  • The Copenhagen Business School
  • Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology
  • Saint Petersburg State University
  • University of Manchester
  • Eindhoven Institute of Technology

With those new places of learning it’ll help broaden Coursera’s international user base, as well as the expand on its course subjects. Speaking of – the most popular course subjects, currently, are computer science, humanities, business and management, and economics. Courses and education you’d have to spend money on, but can be had for free – sans degrees or certification, though.
