Where to watch the Oscar Pistorius trial online

The only way anyone is going to successfully avoid anything to do with the Oscar Pistorius trial is if they go live in the mountains with a morse code machine for a few weeks. Which we’re honestly considering right now – if the site goes dark you’ll know why.

However, if you’re one of those who absolutely, definitely, must have to watch every little part of the proceedings and don’t want to miss a thing, here’s where it’s streaming online.

DStv

After being granted permission to broadcast certain parts of the trial, DStv launched an official 24-hour channel called the “The Oscar Pistorius Trial – A Carte Blanche channel” on channel 199.

DStv Premium, Extra, Compact or Compact Plus subscribers can also live stream the trial on the dedicated Oscar Trial Stream site (The website is experiencing a few glitches, so keep checking back if it’s down).

OpenView HD

OpenView HD also has a 24-hour channel dedicated to the trial called Trial TV, also – curiously – on channel 119.

eNCA

eNCA also has a live stream on its website.

Twitter

If you’re not in front of your TV and can’t stream live, you can follow the proceedings on lots of dedicated Twitter accounts. Like OscarTrial199 and the defence sponsored one, Oscar Hard Truth. EWN Reporter is just one of many local newsteams that will be Tweeting up to the minute, probably every minute.
