The Humble store is a great place to pick up tons of digital goodies, for cheap. The store now sells digital books and graphic novels as well as games, and this week’s Humble Books Bundle features a pretty good line-up from some of the better-known authors in the fantasy genre.
That includes the incredible From Hell graphic novel, the masterpiece from writer Alan Moore and artist Eddie Campbell that delves into the Jack the Ripper story.
A review of the book on Goodreads.com says “Weighing in at 576 pages, From Hell is certainly the most epic of Moore’s works and remarkably is possibly his finest effort yet in a career punctuated by such glorious highlights as Watchmen and V for Vendetta . Going beyond the myriad existing theories, which range from the sublime to the ridiculous, Moore presents an ingenious take on the slaughter.”
Other books in the list include Ben “Yahtzee” Crowshaw’s second book Jam and Terry Goodkind’s Wizard’s First Rule. Crowshaw is the man behind the incredibly hilarious and acerbic game review web show, Zero Punctuation, whose writing is even more sarcastic than his online persona, making it well worth the read if you like that sort of thing.
As always on the Humble Bundle store you can grab a handful of books for any donation whatsoever (even $0.01 will get you three books), or you can get more (including From Hell) should your donation exceed the average threshold of $9.66 (at the time of writing) and all the books if your contribution goes above $10.
