Did you win the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 competition?

It’s always gratifying running a competition where we ask our readers to answer a question, because even when they’re bad, they’re fun to read.

Choosing a winner can be tough, though, but we managed. After some internal deliberation, we’ve found our two winners of the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 competition that we ran on the site last month.

We asked gamers what they’d do if they were a vampire, and the answers that came in ranged from “rather silly” to “downright disturbing”. Fortunately, in the middle we found some clever ones too.

The winner of the Xbox copy of the game is Lois Carol Wessels, who wrote “I would have a whale of a time targeting all the ‘haters’, as that would ensure a virtually inexhaustible supply of fresh blood. The only disadvantage that I can think of is living forever – I would miss family, husband and close friends as they die and I don’t!”

I wouldn’t consider that a disadvantage, Lois. Now marrying another vampire and being stuck with them for eternity, that is something to fret about. Or maybe it’s just me.

The PS3 copy goes to Eugene Grobler‘s rather original entry that spoke nothing of blood-sucking, and instead considered a more practical use of a vampire’s powers. He wrote “Probably fake being the best Olympic athlete ever and make millions. Super speed and strength put to good use.”

Just be careful you’re not too fast and strong, Eugene, and always keep a sample of someone else’s urine strapped to your leg in a blood bag just in case.

Runners-up include David Swanepoel who answered “Start a gothic-electro rock band called the ‘Blood Clots’ and cement my immortality within the legends of Rock and Roll!”, Thamsanqa Sithole‘s bizarre idea to “Achieve every nationality and have children in every country, thus making me the ultimate/most important being on Earth” and Bianca Louw‘s desire to “Be Marceline the vampire queen conquering the world with music and fear.” Better luck next time, guys.

Congratulations go out to both winners; you’ll be receiving your prizes shortly.

Watch out for more competitions on htxt.africa coming soon.
