Goat Simulator’s 1.1 update delayed to June

Goat Simulator has been out for over a month now, and the update that Coffee Stain Studios promised would roll out in mid-May is nowhere to be seen. But it’s coming, they’ve said on Twitter and Facebook, it’s just been pushed back to early June.

Fortunately, there’s plenty of reason to forgive them for delaying because it sounds like version 1.1 of the game is going to be packed with ridonculous levels of silly. Here’s what it’s bringing:

  • A brand-new playable map
  • Split-screen local multiplayer that lets up to four goats roam the game world at the same time
  • Your goat will be able to ride bicycles and skateboards
  • You can force humans to ride your goat
  • Wall-running for your goat a-la The Matrix, just with goats
  • New goats to unlock and play as, including the all-new Shopping Goat
  • A bunch of new achievements for doing silly stuff in the game

Want to see what you’ll be getting? Take a look at some early footage of the game’s protagonist riding a bicycle.

Despite being a month and a half old and by the developer’s own admission “the world’s dumbest game”, Goat Simulator is still in the top 40 best-selling games on Steam at the time of writing.

If you want to see what the fuss is about, grab Goat Simulator from Steam for $10. Even though that’s a lot of cash for a game about a goat, trust us, it’s a lot of fun.
