For the last three years or so, Microsoft’s South African edition of The AppFactory internship programme has been giving aspiring developers the opportunity to get a good start in the industry.
If you are a young developer who has ideas for locally relevant apps, you can now apply to be part of the next group of AppFactory interns.
AppFactory is a partnership between Microsoft and the Johannesburg Centre for Software Engineering (JCSE). It takes the form of a paid internship that runs for nine to 12 months and is hosted at the TechinBraam space in Braamfontein.
Thirty interns receive training and vital work experience while they build Windows 8 apps that are relevant to the South African market.
So if you fit the above mentioned description, apply for The AppFactory by emailing your original app concept to appideas@outlook.com or posting it on The AppFactory Facebook page.
