Ten local startups from different sectors will face-off at the Get up Start-up pitch competition at StartUp South Africa, coming up this Friday, the 10th of October.
Hosted by SiMODiSA , FNB and the South African Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (SAVCA), StartUp South Africa will gather various stakeholders from the local startup scene to discuss ways to alleviate poverty through the creation of high growth, high impact jobs and skills.
The ten finalists for the Get up, Start-up competition are:

- Genwye
- Wumdrop
- Flavalite
- Rethink Education
- Apurimac Media
- The Lightie
- SweepSouth
- Mzansi Store
These finalists will be competing for a shot at an eight week trip to Silicon Valley, and entry to the 12 month Vumela Edge Growth incubation program valued at R250 000.
