Visiting the UK? MasterCard wants to give you free WiFi while you’re in Blighty

Most travellers know how access to internet while travelling overseas can burn through your pocket when you need to be constantly connected. To help ease the pain, MasteCard has set up WiFi hotspots in public places around the UK that its clients can use for free.

MasterCard has partnered with public WiFi provider The Cloud to bring the service which will is available in over 22 ooo hotspots, so you can check your email, social networks, instant messages and more through out the duration of your trip.

To use the service, you’ll have to download and register on the MasterCard Priceless London WiFi app available for Android and iOS before travelling to the UK.

The app will also give you access to “a wide range of offers and experiences available on the Priceless London program”, MasterCard says.

“Connectivity is core to an increasing number of mobile users for both data and voice,” said  This doesn’t change when we cross borders. The inclusion of Wi-Fi in MasterCard’s Priceless Cities programme in the UK not only keeps cardholders connected, but also provides valuable location based offers in key cities,” said Roger Matthews, commercial director at The Cloud.
