EA teases gamers with a closer look at the new Dragon Age’s combat

The recent releases of Assassin’s Creed: Unity (and Rogue) and the upcoming release of Dragon Age: Inquisition, Grand Theft Auto V and Far Cry 4 all point to one thing: November is shaping up to be the most epic month for games, like, ever.

Electronic Arts knows just how highly-anticipated Dragon Age: Inquisition is, and has put a Tips & Tricks video showing off more of the game’s two combat systems – tactical and real-time – to give gamers a taste of what is in store for them when Inquisition comes out. This particular video was originally found on PlayStationLifestyle.net

The video is actually a “tactical camera tutorial” that goes over the basics of using the stop-and-go combat system and the camera together to plan your manoeuvres. As a fan of the series I’m happy to see the core of its combat system alive and well, with new graphical touches and options that could potentially deepen the combat over previous iterations.

And holy cow, did you see those spell effects and that gorgeous scenery? Just wow.

Here at the htxt.africa offices, we can’t wait to get stuck in and are currently praying to the gods of geekdom for a time machine that will let us squeeze 48 hours into every 24, so that we can get through this and the other brilliant releases out this week sometime before the end of the year, which is fast approaching.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is out on Friday for South African gamers while it’s out on the 18th for other regions. You’ll find it on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
