Project Isizwe launches free video-on-demand for Tshwane

Residents in Mamelodi, Soshanguve, Atteridgeville and Pretoria CBD can now enjoy four channels for free on the City of Tshwane’s (also free) WiFi network after the launch of a new video-on-demand service called ConnectUp Tshwane WiFi TV.

Content on ConnectUp Tshwane is produced by young people living in the city’s various communities and has four channels with programming that and ranges from entertainment to gospel, sport, education and TV shows aimed at children.

The following shows will be featured on ConnectUp Tshwane:

Mo Styleng
Fashion and style, looks, tips and opinions.

Talente Ya Gao
A showcase of talent within Tshwane including musicians, poets, performers, artists of all kinds.

Kasi Guide
Reviews of restaurants, venues, events and all local Kasi business as well as a look at landmarks and ways of getting around Tshwane.

Sport
Coverage of local sports, profiles of clubs, venues and players and the latest results.

Dintshang
Current affairs – what’s on the minds of the people of Tshwane, what issues do they want to discuss?

Tumelo
Faith and religion, sermons and gospel choirs and the resources and facilities the places of worship offer to the communities.

Tuto
Informative and educational content from Entrepreneurship to DIY.

Bana
Content for kids -stories games and crafts.

“We want to give Free WiFi users access to some of the best local content available which is relevant to their lives, and create a platform for young people to make their mark in the entertainment space,” Project Isizwe says.
