Get music for free from FNB

In their latest push into the digital world, First National Bank (FNB) has partnered with music label Universal Music to offer customers an easy way to download music legally – at the newly-launched FNB Golden Circle website.

“This is the first time that a bank will be giving customers access to music experiences of this nature to add value and engage customers. We essentially started the move into lifestyle offerings in 2011 when we launched the smart device offer and more recently in the music space when we launched iTunes on App in 2013,” says Ilse Smuts, head of marketing for value banking solutions (VBS) at FNB.

The service is currently only available for new and existing Gold Cheque Account clients, who will be given the option to download 100 free tracks at 20 tracks per month for five consecutive months. The service, according to FNB, will also include things like concert tickets purchases, artist merchandise, and or an exclusive house party with local music icons.

It allows you to preview tracks, and once you have created an account, it will give you the option to download.

“The partnership between Universal Music Group and FNB is an exciting new way for clients to engage with music and music experiences. While it’s an often repeated and overused cliché, music has the ability to touch and affect lives in numerous ways and on a multitude of levels,” says Randall Abrahams, MD Universal Music South Africa and sub-Saharan Africa.

“FNB clients will soon have an opportunity to listen to a vast catalogue and experience a host of their favourite artists, including international superstars, at exclusive in concert appearances.”
