Just three months after debuting on the Google Play Store, Over, the photo editing app created by a company of the same name based in Cape Town, has been featured on Google’s Top Android apps list for 2014.

Towards the end of every year, the search engine does a round up of the top Android apps available on the Google Play Store (and in some cases, other app stores as well). This year’s list features 68 apps (61 free and seven paid) in different categories.

Over is one of six other apps listed under the photography category, including EyeEm: Camera & Photo Filter, Facetune, Carousel – Dropbox Photos, Video Collage Maker and Camera Zoom.

“We’re super thrilled to have been selected for this. The timing is fantastic! Being featured through the holidays is a Holy Grail for developers,” said Aaron Marshall, CEO of Over.

Other popular apps on the Top Android apps of 2014 list are SwiftKey Keyboard, IFTTT (If This, Then That), TED, Shazam, TuneIn Radio, Groupon and Uber.
