Young coders: Sign up now for the Innovation Live electronics hackathon

mLab Southern Africa and Geekulcha are calling all young coders to be part of an electronics hackathon at the Innovation Live 2015 conference to be hosted in Pretoria this month.

Innovation Live hosts private and public sector organisations and showcases the latest innovative solutions that could benefit organisations within these sectors. It will take place from the 19th to 20th February at the Innovation Hub.

The conference’s two-day hackathon will focus on how the the Intel Galileo Board, Arduino, PIC32MZ and Raspberry Pi can be used to help provide solutions for organisational and social issues that most ICT and IT organisations face.

Pricing to enter the electronics hackthon full conference is as follows:

  • Individuals (between one and four delegates): R7 974.30 per person
  • Teams (between five and nine delegates): R7 404.30 per person
  • Corporates (10 or more delegates): R6 834.30 per person

Fortunately, if you just want to enter the hacakthon, you can do so for free by entering the code HACK 2015 – 1. That won’t get you into the conference proper, which is a shame as there’s good speakers lined up from all over the world. But you will be on site for networking and so on.

You can register by calling 012 844 0084 or emailing electronics@geekulcha.com.
