Eskom has put out a tweet assuring South Africans that there is a low to medium chance of loadshedding today.
Low to medium probability of #load_shedding today as the system remains constrained. Thank you for using electricity sparingly.

EWN said via Twitter that two generators are expected to be back online later today:
#loadshedding #Eskom says at least two generators are expected to be back online later today.

That should help Eskom carry the load, barring any unforeseen technical faults. Loadshedding has been implemented three times already this week, reaching Stage 3 on Tuesday and Stage 2 on Wednesday.
Of course, that today is the State of the Nation address is no coincidence. Government has been in talks with Eskom to ensure all South Africans can watch tonight’s SONA, and the utility has promised to do all it can to keep the lights on for the duration.
What President Zuma will say about the situation has a lot of South Africans interested, especially those heavily invested in electricity-reliant tech in their personal and professional capacities like us here at htxt.africa. That, and the fact that Julius Malema’s Economic Freedom Fighters have promised to disrupt the proceedings mean this is a SONA with a lot of public interest.
