GTA V on PC delayed to April, Heists coming March 10th

PC fans of Grand Theft Auto just can’t catch a break. GTA V’s PC version, which was due to come out on the 24th of March after its original launch on January 27th, 2015 didn’t happen, has been pushed back yet again. It’s not a massive delay – the new date is the 14th of April this year – but it’s certainly disappointing.

Rockstar announced the delay on its official Newswire portal, alongside the news that the long-awaited Heists multiplayer mode will arrive for all the other versions of the game on March 10th.

The developer once again cites a need to polish the game “and to make certain that both Heists and the GTA Online experience are ready to roll out on day one for PC”.

As an apology, Rockstar will award anyone who pre-ordered the game a $200 000 in-game bonus on top of the million-dollar bonus they’re already eligible for.

The studio does a pretty good job of talking the game up and giving gamers the impression that the delay will be worth it.

Further down the news post is written “The PC version of Grand Theft Auto V is our most graphically and technically advanced version yet, fully optimized to support a broad range of current hardware (system specifications) and features a host of PC-specific enhancements including greater levels of detail, deep configuration options and ultra-high-definition support – as well as the powerful new Rockstar Editor for recording, staging and editing original custom videos.”

So there’s a lot that’s worth waiting for, but then we know that already. At least the delay is just a few weeks, and not months.
