How Twitter’s new “Quote Tweet” option works

Having only 140 characters to tweet exactly what you want to say can be a bit of a task, but it is even worse when you have to figure out what grammatical sin to commit words or letters you can remove when quoting a retweet. But thanks to Twitter’s latest update, that’s all in the past.

As of today, instead of posting your quote as one full tweet, you can now embed the post you want to retweet, giving you more character space to type in your own words, the company announced in a tweet posted early this morning.

Here’s an example of what the new retweet function looks like on desktop when you create and after you’ve posted..

iOS and desktop users already have access to the new feature, while Android users will have to wait a bit longer.
