Explore Madagascar’s treasure trove of natural beauty on Google Maps

Outside of three popular animated movies released a few years ago, not much is known about the island of Madagascar, so Google has given everyone a chance to go on our own online exploring adventure on Street View.

The search engine roped in the help of conservation organisation Blue Ventures, the Department of Water and Forests at Madagascar’s University of Antananarivo, the Madagascar Ministry of Culture, and Madagascar National Parks to put the island on Google Maps for the first time.

You can view some of Madagascar’s most scenic natural tourist sites such as the Avenue of Boabab TreesKarambony cliffsBarren Isles archipelago marine conservation area, Camp Catta adventure resort which is surrounded by a magnificent backdrop of mountains.
