The new Ghostbusters costumes look decidedly steampunk

They might not be afraid of no ghosts, but its seems that the Ghostbusters could be slightly sceptical about the future. The new costumes for the 2016 reboot film has been revealed by director Paul Feig – and it looks like it should have been in Fallout 3.

Have a look at the Proton pack and tell us what you think, but we are convinced it looks like a prop from a post-apocalyptic shooter. Or a vacuum cleaner left behind after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster.

It also just made your cosplay slightly easier.

The film’s script is being written by Feig and Katie Dippold, while Ghostbusters veterans Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd wrote the character development parts. Sadly, Ramis passed away last year. The all-female cast for the new film will include Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.

The plot has not been announced yet, but the film is expected to be released sometime next year.
