TEDxJoburg 2015 puts out call for speakers

If you missed TEDxJohannesburg last year you missed out. Themed “We, the People” the talks centred around the ingenuity of South Africans in a post Apartheid landscape and featured talks from Tony Leon, Maria Phalime and Michaella Janse Van Vuuren. If you were kicking yourself for missing those talks, then take heed.

This year, TEDxJohannesburg will be taking place on the 19th of November at the awesome Soweto Theatre in Jabulani, Soweto.

As always TEDx talks have a golden thread linking the talks to create one huge base of workable ideas that are well worth spreading. The theme will be human progress, described under the catch-all term “Moonshots”. According to the organisers, they’re after “Solutions to our biggest problems will come from Moonshots; the most monstrous, awe-inspiring dreams, hopes and goals that we set for ourselves”.

The event has just been announced and you can help the organisers by recommending speakers for TEDxJohannesburg. The organisers have put out a call to those looking to spread their ideas of human progression on a platform that listens and if you know of somebody that helped South Africa, and the world you can suggest a speaker.

If you just want to attend you can purchase tickets online. We suggest you book your tickets as soon as possible because TEDx talks have a habit of selling out quickly and judging by the theme this one has the potential to be as great as its predecessors.
