Free WhatsApp on Cell C lives on in a new prepaid package

If you’re a Cell C customer who enjoyed the free WhatsApp promo and were sad to see it go, the good news is you can continue to use the instant messaging service for free, if you join Trace Mobile.

The mobile network has partnered with DStv’s urban music channel Trace TV to launch Trace Mobile today, a prepaid package that offers users access to a music streaming service, free Facebook and informative content via Internet.org and free WhatsApp, among other things.

Trace Mobile tariffs are identical to Cell C’s EasyPay plan. You get 200% free bonus airtime with every recharge which you can use to call other Cell C numbers and is valid for three days from the day of recharge.
