African tech site, TechCabal, has just announced the three speakers who will be at the first AfricaBeta Chat 3.0 startups conference, an event it’s hosting in partnership with instant messaging service, WeChat this Saturday.
Etop Ikpe, co-CEO of Dealdey, Nigeria’s largest discounted deals website, as well as Adia Sowho, director of digital business at Etisalat Nigeria and Amber Fowler, partner and chief of staff at EchoVC, will all be delivering keynote addresses at the event.
Nigerian journalist and television personality, Lamide Akintobi, will be the conference’s host.
The conference’s organisers said in statement that AfricaBeta Chat 3.0’s aim is to “showcase the companies and individuals pushing the frontier, influencing how Africans experience a life in which technology has become essential”.
WeChat will also be hosting a startups competition where three startups will get the chance to pitch their businesses in front of an audience of industry experts, technology and internet investors, for the chance to gain an early deployment access to the WeChat platform and support for their ideas.
Registration for the AfricaBeta Chat 3.0 conference is free and must be done on the event’s website.
