Win a 4K TV and LG smartphones in our Gear of the Year Reader awards!

Every year, as the days grow longer and the sun melts the tyres off of our cars, we huddle under the office aircon unit and put together a list of the gadgets, games and gizmos which we think were outstanding over the last 12 months. This is’s Gear of the Year Awards, and it is good.

This year, though, we want to do it a bit differently.

We’ve chosen a shortlist of all the things that we thought were great, but we’re going to leave the final decisions as to who wins these accolades to you. That’s right, for 2015 it’s the’s Gear of the Year Reader Awards, and it is better.

In the form below, you’ll be able to submit your vote (anonymously, if you wish) for various products in various categories. The voting closes on the 21st of November and the results will be announced on the 10th of December on and the December issue of our magazine, Tech Made Easy.

While you’re voting, we’d really like it if you completed the Readers’ Survey that follows on from the voting section. We want to get to know our readers better and get a better feel for how you want us to improve our site in 2016. It’s really important for us to gather this information.

This year, we’ve achieved great growth and are now South Africa’s third biggest tech news site. Next year, with your help, we want to do even better.

As a thanks for sharing your thoughts with us, all completed forms will be entered into a prize draw to win one of several prizes, kindly sponsored by LG. And they are the best of all.
