SWIFT Innotribe fintech Startup Challenge announces 2016 regional contest

Applications are now open for startups interested in competing in the second African Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication‘s (SWIFT) Innotribe fintech Startup Challenge.

Entrants will be competing for a R750 000 grand prize in the competition, which takes place next year.

SWIFT Innotribe introduces the world’s brightest startups to highly qualified financial service experts, investors, venture capitalists, and global leading fintech and financial decision makers.

Finalists are selected to pitch at the SWIFT African Regional Conference (ARC) for the chance to secure a spot among the top 20 continental finalists and join 40 others at the international finale in Singapore.

In 2016, the Startup Challenge will focus on supporting emerging fintech solutions, concentrating its efforts in Africa and Latin America through regional finals on both continents.

Applications to the 2016 SWIFT Innotribe tartup Challenge will open in January 2016 and the successful applicants will be announced in April 2016. We’ll be keeping an eye for the opening of the applications and will publish as soon as that happens.
