If you’re one of the many Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate player who has rinsed the game and need an excuse to return to Victorian London, Ubisoft has some good news for you.
On 15th December – that’s next Tuesday – the game’s first DLC drops and it’s a doozy. Players will be hunting down arguably the most notorious serial killer in history: Jack The Ripper.
It makes sense to introduce saucy Jack. After all, in the game’s main storyline players – who control twin Assassins Jacob and Evie Frye – have met the likes of Charles Dickens, Charles Darwin and even Queen Victoria. Since the identity and eventual fate of Jack The Ripper is still a matter of conjecture today, Ubisoft even has a little bit of wiggle room as far as historical accuracy for the DLC plays out.
The DLC takes place 20 years after the events of Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate and sees Evie hunting down Jack The Ripper in Whitechapel. If you want to see what Evie’s in for, have a gander at the suitably chilling trailer below.
It’s the first of three planned DLC packs; The Last Maharaja and A Long Night are still in the pipeline.
The Jack The Ripper DLC is priced at $14.99 (that’s currently R232, but it may change if anyone else in the government gets fired) or it’s available as part of the season pass for $29.99 (around R463). Incidentally, PC players will have to wait a bit longer for this DLC as it only drops on that platform on 22nd December.
