Olloclip is best known for making really good clip-on camera lenses for mobile phones, but the company has taken things a little bit further with its latest invention.

Called Studio, the company has thrown out the idea of a simple clip-on lens, and has opted to improve upon its protective cases – giving iOS photographers a complete package.

“Studio is the combination of an all-new, more protective case design that incorporates an integrated rail mounting solution (patent pending) and a series of mobile photography accessories,” it said.

The accessories it is referring to consists of a two-finger grip, clips to attach a tripod, grip, handles or mounts, and cold-shoe adapters for things like a microphone or light. Oddly, it also comes with a little kickstand, “for watching a movie or reading your favourite book”, but will be better suited a tripod for stability.

The biggest selling point for Olloclip is naturally the protective case that has a lens built into it.

“Beautiful as a stand-alone case, the Studio Case is our most protective yet and is built to withstand most accidental drops,” it explained on the website.

Right now, Studio isn’t ready to hit the market just yet, but you can but your name in the hat as a pre-order. The full case-mount system is expected to only ship out sometime in February, and retails directly from Olloclip for $90.
