This Friday the 13th, gamers will be turning the minions of hell into paint when the DOOM reboot hits stores and digital store fronts, and ASUS is giving away Steam codes for the game with select products.
The first person shooter is being quarter-backed by publisher Bethesda Softworks and developer id Software, the minds behind the original game which was released 23 years ago. (Yoh, 23 years. Feels like yesterday – Ed)
Starting today and running until 11th July, ASUS is giving PC builders a chance to get their hands on the game as well as the Demon Multiplayer Pack.
To qualify for the free game code you will need to buy either an ASUS motherboard or an ASUS monitor, but you can’t just buy any motherboard and expect the free game.
If you’re buying a motherboard you have a choice from the following:
- Z170 series
- X99 series
- H170 series
- B150 series
- C232 series
- Z97 series
- B85 series
And these are the qualifying monitors:
- PG series
- MG series
- VG series
- VX series
Once you’ve purchased your motherboard or monitor you’ll need to head over to Steam and redeem your code before 22nd July.
Read that carefully folks, because when the clock strikes 00:00 on the 22nd you will no longer be able to redeem your free code, so make sure you activate the product before then.
To find out where you can buy a qualifying motherboard or a monitor you can head to the ASUS website and click on “Where to Buy” (it’s about two fifths of the way down the page) and choose your preferred retailer.
Remember, the offer is only valid until 11th July, so you have a bit of time to get your funds together for a new motherboard, monitor or both.
