Parents in Gauteng who are yet to register and apply on behalf of their kids going to grade one or eight next year are running out of time to do so.
First the first time ever, applications were completely moved online this year and will no longer be accepted via walk-ins at schools.
Applications have been open for just over a month now, and there is only one week left until they close on 1st June.
According to Gauteng MEC for Education, Panyaza Lesufi, the deadline will not be extended.

This is a cause for concern for many parents who are still experiencing issues on the site, with some taking to Twitter and reaching out to htxt.africa for help.

Lesufi urged parents who don’t have access to the internet to visit their nearest school or library to apply.
Those still struggling can visit the help desk nearest to them for assistance.
So far, 680 000 applications have been received on the Admissions site.
