See Battlefield 1’s multiplayer in action on June 12th

Since the Battlefield 1 hype wagon started rolling three weeks ago thanks to the game’s admittedly excellent trailer, BF fans have clamouring for footage of the game being played.

Well, it’s time for them all to mark their calendars as a livestream multiplayer event has been announced for this month.

The stream will be part of EA Play and will kick off on June 12th at 2 PM pacific time (PT, which is 11 PM here in South Africa). We’ll get to see a Battlefield Squads 64-player multiplayer match.

YouTube content creators StoneMountain64 and Neebs Gaming will be captaining the two teams, with several other YouTube personalities filling in the ranks. You can view the current full list of players here, but they only amount to a total of 14. The remaining slots will be filled with “some of the most well-known YouTubers and Twitch streamers around, as well as a few special guests.”

While EA Play will be streamed online, there’s also a chance for you to get to Los Angeles and be there in person, and be one of the first to actually play Battlefield 1. You’ll need to create a video explaining why you should be chosen, and you’ll need to be fast because the contest closes on June 3rd.

If all of this isn’t enough for you, check out our story where the historical accuracy of this game is put to the test. Spoiler: you’ll actually be learning a lot about World War 1 here. Use this as ammo to convince your parents to buy it for you.
